Hello! I hope all is good!
I apologize for not posting or doing much lately.. been a little bit busy. But man, do I have some things on my mind at the moment.
This morning I woke up, and I seriously cannot get Natalie Merchant out of my head. I had a talk with my lovely wife.. she would always tell me how much she loved Natalie Merchant and Alanis Morissette, I think about her living in Southeast Arkansas and just how all of that just doesnt seem to mix. Anyways, when I think of Natalie Merchant, I think of her tone. I was so surprised when I looked up the Tigerlily album and realized that it came out in 1995 – in our talk I was thinking that Natalie Merchant was like the Lana Del Ray of the 90s. Dropping a Natalie Merchant track for yall to enjoy this Wedenesday.
Secondly and just as important… THE TACO BELL Y2K MENU HAS ME CURRENTLY INĀ A CHOKEHOLD.
During high school we had open lunch and was able to leave the campus. Between the years of 1996-2006, the amount of chili and cheese I consumed that was wrapped in a tortilla would be insane. Tuesday evening, Madison had asked for some Taco Bell.. we went through the drive thru and I wasnt really paying too much attention to the menu since I was ordering for her… WHEN I SAW CHILI CHEESE BURRITOS WERE AVAILABLE I SERIOUSLY THREW MY HANDS IN THE AIR AND ALMOST CRIED. I HADNT ORDERED A CHILI CHEESE BURRITO IN OVER 15+ YEARS…
It was around 9:30 pm and I wasnt really wanting to deal with the heartburn so I decided to pass on my first opportunity to order one. The following day I went and got my treasure…
I’m going to share my original feelings from a group chat I am in with some homies, as this was my first initial reaction (see below)
Its smaller than I remember… yikes.
I thought about posting about the Bears – but whats the point – please see old blog FROM 2 YEARS AGO.
Enough rambling – go enjoy some Natalie Merchant and I’ll see yall the next time.
Adios!
